How can I play PlayStation 3 [PS3] combines online gaming with my PS3?

I just bought a PS3 and Im not sure if I can play online. Im here in Manila, Philippines.

Firstly, you're lucky. PS3 online is free, unlike its rival Xbox Live. However, many people say online experience and the quality is not as good. Now back to your question. If you connect directly to your computer, use an Ethernet cable. Put an end to the back of your PS3 from each other at the back of your modem or router depending on what you have. If you want wireless, using Wi-Fi Router with a compatible receiver (I think there is an official receiver PS3 as there is for the 360). I am not familiar with the settings though. Wired works perfectly well because I use it. Should operate smoothly, no matter where you live in the world until you have a connection Internet spedd. So I think it should go to the Philippines. As a precaution, should be aware that they may not always have a stable coonection when America North v United Kingdom (the two main servers), but I think it will be more than good.
